The brief for this project was to make a pair of bespoke doors to fill an opening between two rooms. With the ability to lay the doors flat on the surrounding walls when opened, allowing space for entertaining guests.

I chose to make them in Oak to match the decor of the house, with beveled glass panels to allow light to pass through. Light being a very important factor to the client.

As always, I was very keen to use traditional methods throughout the construction process. Each joint is morticed, tenoned and wedged, with the mouldings scribed at the corners to fit perfectly. Age old methods that are often neglected in modern day joinery, due to the time and attention to detail required.

The completed doors fit the clients specification exactly and add a stunning new feature to their home.

Guide price: £1600.00
